Delete Your RoadTalk Account

RoadTalk is a communication app for professional long-haul drivers, published by RoadTalk. You can delete your RoadTalk account, and the data associated with it, at any time — from inside the app, or by emailing us.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open RoadTalk and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled RoadTalk, or you can no longer sign in, email info@road-talk.com and we will delete your account for you. Please include the phone number you signed up with, or the Google or Apple account you used to sign in, so we can find the right account. We may ask you to confirm you own it before we delete anything.

The 24-hour grace period

Deletion is not instant. Your account is scheduled for deletion and permanently removed 24 hours later. During that window you can change your mind: open SettingsAccount and tap Cancel Account Deletion. Once the 24 hours have passed, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

When the deletion completes, we remove:

What we keep, and for how long

After your account is deleted we keep one thing: a one-way hash of your sign-in identifier. It is not your phone number, name or email, it cannot be reversed, and it cannot be used to identify you or rebuild your account. It exists only to stop a deleted account from silently reappearing, and it is deleted automatically about 48 hours later. We may also retain records for longer where the law requires it, or where they are needed to prevent fraud and abuse.
